  • Education Grants

    Employee grants are given MMTA members for expenses of an employee who attended a course or seminar offered to the trade for educational purposes.

    In 2002 there were 14 member firms who participated in the program with 18 employees. The maximum per employee is $250 or $500 per firm. The following are the latest 2002 recent grants:

    Mark Sheridan—Lund Dealer Service School
    Robert Jernigan—Lund Dealers Service School

    Eastern Yacht Sales
    Peter Galvin—Pursuit Offshore
    John McMann—Pursuit Tech

    C & E Distribution
    Andy Stone—Shorelander School

    For 2003, the following have been awarded:

    Allen Harbor Marine Service
    Eric Awalt—Yamaha School

    Cape Yachts
    Julie Bradley, Ruth Norton, Mike Magee—Microsoft Excel Course
