  • Proposed Boston Harbor Moorings
    May 2001

A permit has been requested from the corps of engineers by the City of Boston to install and rent out 9 transient vessel moorings within the 35’ deep Federal navigation channel in Boston Harbor.

The proposed moorings are to be located in front of the Constitution Marina in Charlestown. The City plans to allow them to be rented on a first-come, first-served basis with a charge of $15. per day and $35. per night.

The District Engineer has made a preliminary determination that any adverse effect of this action to Essential Fisheries Habitat will be minor.
